Are you interested in fostering, but aren't sure what's involved? Then come along to our information evening to chat with our fostering team and find out lots of helpful information about this rewarding role. Date: Thursday 13th September 2018 Time: 7pm - 9pm There is a short presentation from the fostering team to provide you with information on: - The different types of fostering - The assessment process - The support and training you will receive Followed by an open question and answer session and then the opportunity to speak to the team and our foster carers individually. Becoming a foster carer is a serious decision that impacts on your family and we recommend that family members (over the age of 12) also attend the information evening. At the moment there are not enough foster carers in South Gloucestershire to ensure each child and young person can be placed within their community close to their school, family and friends. We want to change this by making sure every child has the chance to be looked after by local foster carers who can support a child or young person at such a critical time in their lives. We look forward to seeing you there!
